Hello! I am Jordan Staenberg and I am both a Doctor of Occupational Therapy and a Certified Yoga Therapist.
I created Mindful Occupational Therapy, LLC to support you or someone you care for to confidently navigate life’s challenges: learning new skills to engage the power of awareness of the mind-body-environment connection.
Why is this important?
Being a human is complex and dynamic, now, more than ever it seems. When you develop a greater awareness of what is going on in your mind, physical body and environment, you open the door to making better informed choices. How you “occupy” that choice moment allows you to manage your experience, symptoms and ability to move and experience your world. When we learn to do this together, you will develop a conscious ability to self-regulate/control and coordinate together your many bodily and mental functions to improve your performance in that moment in your life roles, habits, and personal goals.

Today’s increased stressors, either in general or from an illness or injury, can make you feel out of control in this complex world. At that moment you are occupying, there’s the dread of suddenly, I can’t do the things I want or need to do now. In order to live your life to the fullest, let’s work together to reestablish a sense of control in your body, discover satisfaction and meaning in the present, and look more confidently forward toward the future.
How will we do that?
I offer a unique and holistic approach to building healthy wellness skills, working with you to reclaim your full capacity for living with creative, science-based, effective methods drawing from my doctorate OT training, my yoga therapy skills, and over 13 years of working with people just like you. YOU have a unique perspective and YOUR perspective influences how you interact with the world… so no cookie-cutter recipes… we create this work together — to fit YOU, right now.
What will we do?
- We will work through your individualized evaluation based on your needs and dreams for optimal health, vitality, and quality of life that you value most.
- Together we will craft YOUR plan of action and the practices you can use to occupy this moment and those that follow to make that plan a new reality.
- We will update and advance our work together over time to meet any new or unexpected challenges.
